Who is eligible?

Librarians who have been in their careers for approximately 10 or more years, having graduated from library school between 1994-2004, and who are currently working in an academic library, are eligible to apply for the Institute. If you’d like to apply but are uncertain whether you are eligible, please ask us!

Deadlines and Timelines

The deadline for applying for the Institute is May 15, 2015. We will let you know whether your application has been selected by May 30, 2015.

Tuition and Fees

Registration for successful candidates is $350. The Institute will reimburse travel and lodging costs up to $1500, thanks to the generous support of the Andew W. Mellon Foundation.

Applying

The application process has three parts.

  1. Fill out the form below.
  2. Write a 500 word statement describing a digital humanities project you could support with faculty at your institution. Send that letter to Rochelle Mazar (rmazar@library.rochester.edu).
  3. Submit two letters of recommendation. We require letters of recommendation from your library Dean, Assistant or Associate Dean, or Chief Librarian, and from a faculty member at your current institution. Send these letters to Rochelle Mazar (rmazar@library.rochester.edu).
