Writing to his mother who is on her way back from a cruise through Scandinavia and Scotland, J.G. shares news of home, with a focus on polo and hunt activities. He mentions that "Your Bird Bath-tub arrived yesterday, weighing 3300 lbs and costing me 14.55, I hope it is all here for it was an awful blow after a summer of polo."
