Intercollegiate Golf, 1899

J.G. continued to play on the Harvard team, competing in the Intercollegiate championships in October 1899.  The Harvard team won the championship, beating Columbia and then Princeton. In individual competition, J.G. lost in the finals to a golfer from Princeton in a very evenly matched 37 holes.  He nonetheless achieved the lowest amateur score for the Garden City course, tying the professional score for the course.
