A most encouraging note

In the last letter in this saga, James Sibley Watson writes Emily, who is still in Atlantic City: "I have just received a most encouraging note from Canfield & everything certainly looks most promising. I can understand your conflicting emotions but I hope the future not only looks brighter but will be brighter."

Jimmie expresses disappointment that Emily will not be back in Rochester for Thanksgiving, but is looking forward to seeing her by November 30th.
